Why we built it

A lot of getting ready.
Not enough pressing publish.

An unopened microphone. Another course. An episode recorded, edited, and never released. We kept seeing the same thing.

From DIY creators to clients building entire studios, the budgets were different. The sticking point wasn’t. Getting ready had become a way of putting it off.

We’ve seen what happens when people finally publish, then keep going. In our own lives, and in the lives of our clients and students. We wanted more people to get there.

The dreamer

Veronica cares about the details that make a show yours. She leads the client and creator experience at PSS, helping people turn a very particular vision into something they can actually make.

From corporate law to creating

Before PSS, Veronica graduated from law school and worked as a corporate lawyer. Then she took a leap and started a business with Stephen. She’s a creator herself, too. Launching Veronica Tries in 2026 means she knows firsthand what it feels like to start something new.

The doer

Stephen is the producer, studio builder, and resident gear nerd. He turns creative ideas into working setups and practical workflows. He also wrote The Video Podcasting Playbook for Professionals.

A lifetime of making things work

At 17, Stephen walked into a Hollywood recording studio. An apprenticeship became a career in audio engineering, his own studio, film school, and professional editing. Today he builds client studios and gets hands-on with the equipment behind PSS’s recommendations.

We started Pod Sound School in 2019. Today, that work continues through PSS Creative Media, our production company and creative consultancy.

Producer brings our approach into a conversation about your show. Practical guidance, room for your own choices, and a useful next step.

How the guidance works

Producer is an automated tool that uses AI to respond to what you share about your show. We bring our production experience and working methods into its guidance, but you are talking with software. Stephen and Veronica do not personally review each response. Use the guidance as a starting point, check important details, and make the final creative decisions yourself.
